Role Summary
We are seeking a highly strategic and business-savvy Senior Project Manager to spearhead the development of a Project Management Office (PMO) for a prestigious client within the Regulated Manufacturing Industry (pharma, medical devices, biotech). This is not your standard Project Management role; the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the business landscape and the intricacies of PMO functionalities. The goal is to build the PMO from the ground up, implementing robust frameworks and processes that will underpin the client’s project management capabilities, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of a comprehensive PMO tailored to the regulated manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align the PMO’s strategy with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Establish best practices, processes, and standards for project management across the organization.
- Drive the adoption of PMO processes and tools, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency.
- Monitor the performance of the PMO, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance functionality and value delivery.
- Mobilize a multi-disciplinary team, which includes Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Chemistry/Stability Operations, Disposables Engineering, Manufacturing, and others towards the development and registration of solution products at various company sites.
- Act as the Technical Leader, Team Leader, and Project Manager for product development projects.
- Accountable for managing deliverables from an interdisciplinary team. Drive completion of tasks required by a comprehensive product development plan.
- Manage multiple overlapping project timelines.
- Account for managing project time and expenses to budget goals.
Competencies/Skills Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in project management within the FDA Regulated Industry (pharma, medical devices, or biotech).
- Demonstrated capability in building and leading a Project Management Office from scratch, with a focus on strategic alignment and operational excellence.
- Strong business acumen with an ability to understand complex business models and regulatory landscapes.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a history of leading cross-functional teams to achieve project and organizational goals.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of engaging with senior-level executives and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience in senior management roles, with a track record of strategic decision-making and organizational leadership.
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related disciplines.
